Stop-and-search procedures produce cause Roodepoort

Stop-and-search operations performed by members of the Roodepoort Police on 28 January, have led to the arrest of 12 suspects.

The suspects, aged between 21 and 40 years old, were arrested on various charges, including, possession and use of dagga in public, possession of suspected drugs, theft, shoplifting, hijacking and attempted murder.

All suspects were charged and detained at Roodepoort Police Station and have already appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court.
